Hallo!
My name, it is Rolf Scamander and I have not had the moment for to introduce myself which I am thinking should be of importance for there are so many people here that I do not know. I was born in Berlin, Germany in 1973 and attended Durmstrang from 1984 until 1992. In 1999, after many years of travelling and research I published in Germany my first book on the topic of werewolves and the differences between how they are in different parts of the world, both as their part in the magical community and how they are in relationships with each other. I also helped with the set up of a werewolf conservationism efforts within the Schwarzwald to promote a community for werewolf packs. I have also spent a good deal of my time working closely with the Magischebundestag (ist like the Ministry of Magic now, in Germany.) with the changing of laws for werewolves.
In 2000, it was that I moved to Germany for that my book on werewolves could be translated for English. I was before coming here living in Darlington, North Yorkshire where the Scamander Institute for Magical Creatures was set up. I was spending of my time as an instructor at this place before coming here.
In additions to my work with animals, I have also started with the writing of a biography of the wizard Gellert Grindelwald, with focus on the book that he wrote, the policies that he adhered to and his fascinating rise to power in Germany.
And so this is me and I am very much looking forward for the opportunities to meet with new people and to talk of things because I am understanding that there are individuals here from many different times!
